FAQ
Product questions
What's the difference between Rough Sawn, KD and KD+S4S?
Rough Sawn (RS) is dried but not surfaced — you do the final planing. KD is kiln-dried rough stock. KD+S4S is kiln-dried and surfaced on four sides, ready to use on arrival at your workshop.
Can you cut custom profiles — ogee, bullnose, ovolo, chamfer?
Yes. Custom mouldings are milled to your drawings or standard profile references. Minimum order and lead time depend on the profile — typically 4–6 weeks from approved drawings.
How do I specify moisture content for my climate?
For heated European interiors, 10–12% is standard. For marine or unconditioned exterior use, we recommend 12–15% and on-site acclimatisation before installation. Tell us the end-use and we'll confirm.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
For stocked sizes — no practical minimum. For custom sections and profiles, typical minimum is 1–2 m³ depending on specification; smaller runs can be quoted on request.
