Product questions
Should I let the deck silver or maintain the golden tone?
Both are legitimate finishes. Silvering happens naturally over 6–12 months under direct UV and requires no intervention. Maintaining the golden tone means an annual teak-oil application — budget for maintenance from day one.
How do you fix grooved decking — visible screws, hidden clips, or glue?
All three are supported depending on substrate. For ventilated wood joists we recommend stainless steel hidden clips with counter-grooved boards. For rooftops over waterproofing, pedestals with clip systems. We provide a fixing spec with every order.
Does teak decking get too hot in direct summer sun?
Less than composite decking or dark stone. Natural teak reaches 40–45 °C in peak summer — warm but walkable barefoot. Lighter patina (silver) stays cooler than oiled golden boards.
Is the anti-slip groove certified?
The geometry meets typical residential and commercial pool-surround slip-resistance expectations. For certified ratings (DIN 51097 class etc.) under specific project requirements, we can provide documentation on request.
