1. Who We Are
Sylvariswoods ("we", "our", "us") is a supplier of premium tropical hardwood timber products. We operate the website sylvariswoods.com. For any data protection questions, contact us at sales@sylvariswoods.com.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it through our website forms:
- Contact & enquiry forms — name, email address, company name, phone number, and the content of your message.
- Catalogue download requests — name, email address, and company name.
We do not collect payment information. We do not sell or trade your personal data to third parties.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiries, quote requests, and sample requests.
- Deliver the product catalogue you requested.
- Provide technical product information relevant to your project.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing necessary to take steps prior to entering a contract — or Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in responding to professional business enquiries.
4. How Long We Keep It
We retain enquiry data for up to 24 months from the date of last contact. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).
5. Who We Share It With
We use the following third-party service that may process your data:
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) — email delivery service. Your name and email address are transmitted solely for the purpose of delivering our response to you. Brevo is GDPR-compliant and processes data within the EU.
We do not share your data with any other third parties, marketing platforms, or data brokers.
6. Cookies
This website uses only technically necessary cookies required for its operation (e.g. session management). We do not currently use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. If analytical tools such as Google Analytics are introduced in future, this policy will be updated and explicit consent will be requested prior to their activation.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").

To exercise any of these rights, send an email to sales@sylvariswoods.com. We will respond within 30 calendar days.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. All data transmitted between your browser and our website is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
